I'm renting my cozy, bright studio space for $850/month located right on the water. I mainly use the space at night & weekends and occasionally during the day, M-F. This is perfect for a person who plans on being there during the weekdays as you will have it all to yourself.
About the space:
Located on the 3rd floor, it’s 17x19 feet, 2 windows, AC unit, portable heaters, desk, 2 chairs drying rack and locker. For visual artists: You may bring your own easels or utilize the studio easels, or dedicated wall for pinning art. The studio is located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and is walking distance from Fort Greene, Williamsburg & Dumbo and easily accessible by bike or car. Nearby public transportation includes the F & G trains the B69, B57 buses.
The space is ideal for photographers, performance rehearsals, artists, creative writers, & people in the film industry who need a base. There is WIFI, a refrigerator, water cooler, restrooms across the hall, freight elevator & an industrial sink on the premises. It's secure and temperature-controlled. This is a non-toxic (and especially non-smoking) space.
For move-in:
A security deposit, first month's rent, two references with contact information along with a signed agreement secures it. I'm looking for a commitment for 3 to 6 months with the option to extend longer for the right person.
